Washing the face is absolutely the basic skin care step to start with. Ensure that you wash off all the dirt, chemicals, impurities that often gets inside your skin even before you realize it.

Cleaning your face fall under basic hygiene (Step - 1)

I feel cleaning your face daily falls under basic hygiene thing as it is an absolutely important cleaning method.

Now the kind of face wash you use depends on your skin type. Ensure that you buy a fash wash that suits your skin type.

I have got a combination skin. My T-zone often gets oily while the rest of my face remains dry. So I choose to use Clinique face wash for myself.

This product is perfect for sensitive skin type. I often get breakouts and this is one product that actually helped me to combat that problem.

    It comes in 3 variants:
    1. Extra Mild.
    2. Mild.
    3. Oily skin formula.

I used the mild version so I would be giving my review on this particular face wash.

    Packaging:

The product comes in a sturdy plastic bottle with a pump and I give A* for the hygiene factor. The pump can be locked and unlocked by simply turning it a clock and anti-clockwise.

    Price:

It costs about $24.99 for a bottle of 6.7 Fl OZ.

    Ingredients:

Water\Aqua\Eau, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glycerin, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Butylene Glycol, Phenyl Trimethicone, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Hordeum Vulgare (Barley) Extract\Extrait D'Orge, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seedcake, Dimethicone, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Cholesterol, Sucrose Stearate, Sucrose, Caffeine, Ppg-20 Methyl Glucose Ether, Urea, Sodium PCA, Linoleic Acid, Propylene Glycol Dicaprate, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria), Pentylene Glycol, Polyquaternium-51, Trehalose, Caprylyl Glycol, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/Vp Copolymer, Phenoxyethanol. (Please be aware that the list containing the ingredients may change from the time and you much check the ingredients while buying the particular product)

It prepares the skin for the next step of skin care which is the exfoliating action of toner. The hand pump is very convenient to ensure that the right quantity is pored out.

    Method of use:

This is a lathering cleaner and so we need to use it with water. Rinse your face with water and pump out the cleanser. Apply on your entire face and bring up some lather. Wash off your face for a perfectly cleansed face.

    5. All ages, all sexes, and all ethnicities can use this product.

What I don’t like about the product?
    1. The price factor- I feel the product is highly priced and can be unaffordable for the general public having family responsibilities and kids to take care.
    2. It leaves the skin dry after use and a moisturizer is a must after using the face wash.

Now that the first step is done. The next step of my everyday skincare routine is toning my skin.

    Step #2 - Using a good toner

    Clinique Clarifying Lotion 2

One of the top branded international beauty & skin care product, Clinique clarifying lotion 2 is a unique beauty product that I can call truly professional, loyal and classy. So here I am writing a quick review of this amazing product.

What I don't like about this product?
    1. It is very expensive.
    2. I feel that the packaging could have been little better as there is a risk to spill off the bottle. As it is an expensive product, I am sure we would not like to waste even a drop of it. Something like a spray bottle with a pump would have been a better option. That's my personal opinion of course.
    3. It has a very strong smell of alcohol that puts me off.
    4. It is not a herbal product. Absolutely a chemical formulation. It is not mild.

    Overall review:

If you had been trying hard to get rid of your skin problem then it is one stop solution for you. Like a healing medicine, it would start working on your skin depending on your issue. My suggestion is that you should check your skin type as mentioned above and then select the lotion based on which category f skin type you fall under.

After cleaning and toning the skin, you actually prepare your skin ready to accept a good moisturizer that goes deep inside your skin, nourishing it and giving that perfect glow. Well, magic does not happen overnight for skin care routines and I always advise to allow 7 days time to feel the real difference. That being said, I can clearly state another fact that using Clinique product of one single use does show some visible difference on your skin.

So let us now know about step 3 of my everyday skin care routine which is moisturizing.
